The course, designed for “users” of systematic reviews, is tailored to all academic disciplines and professions, as well as administrative staff across all three faculties at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL).

It introduces the concept of systematic reviews, enabling participants to understand what they are, why they are needed in various areas of practice, research, and education, how they are conducted, how to find a systematic review relevant to their work, and how to critically appraise it.

This course is Part 1 (for “users”) of a broader course consisting of two parts: one for “users” of systematic reviews (Part 1) and one for “doers”—that is, those who will conduct a new systematic review (Part 2). To participate in Part 2, you must have completed Part 1 or a similar course.
