AI Tools
There are many AI tools that can be useful. HVL considers the tools mentioned here to be safe to use as long as privacy and copyright requirements are followed, research servers are used for storing research data, and only data that is legally permissible for the respective AI tools is shared.
HVL recommends the language model GPT UiO, the search tool Keenious, and the transcription service Autotekst. You are personally responsible for evaluating the tools you use and for familiarizing yourself with the applicable regulations and recommendations for each tool.
GPT UiO
HVL provides GPT UiO as a privacy-secure service for students and staff at HVL. There are also a number of other tools that can be used. Be particularly critically aware if you use other commercial tools that do not have a data processing agreement or fail to explain how data and personal information are handled.
Microsoft Copilot
Microsoft Copilot (formerly Bing Chat Enterprise) is an AI-driven solution similar to other well-known tools such as ChatGPT. Copilot is available only to staff at HVL. Here you can find information (in Norwegian) about Microsoft Copilot for employees.
Keenious
Keenious is an AI-based search tool that can be useful when exploring a new academic field. Keenious cannot replace traditional database searches but can suggest research articles that may be relevant to you. You can input text or upload a PDF. Autotekst
Autotekst is a speech-to-text transcription service developed by UiO and runs on UiO servers. Among other uses, you can utilize Autotekst for transcribing audio recordings and subtitling videos. Link to Autotekst and information about universal design for audio (Norwegian).
