Field of work

My main area of work is language didactics, especially language acquisition, development, and change. This field includes disciplines such as general linguistics, grammar, literacy studies, historical linguistics, and dialectology.

Otherwise, my research centers around Scandinavian historical linguistics and toponymy, with particular attention to morphology and semantics.

Between 2025 and 2029, I represent Norway in NORNA (Nordic Cooperative Committee for Onomastic Research).
