Field of work

I have a background in political science, and broad ecperience from social science research and research leadership. My main research interests are related to the relationship between politics, profession and expertise, with an emphasis on the education sector and the interfaces between education and welfare. My research has both a historical and contemporary approach. I have extensive experience in the study of policy formulation, management and implementation of education and welfare policies as well as analysis of inclusion and exclusion, normality and deviance in the interface between education and health.

I have experience from a range of educational programs and levels. At the present I teach and supervise in social studies for primary and lower secondary teacher students. Further, I teach on kindergarten governance, management and organisation, as well as profession and professionalisation in further studies. I teach about profession and professionalism in teaching, and supervise PhD candidates in connection with the PHD education at the faculty.
