Advisor at Medielab, Department for the Development of Learning and Teaching (ALU) at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL).
Ferruccio works with the development and production of audiovisual resources for education, research and dissemination. He has broad experience as a filmmaker, cameraman and video editor, from idea development and to direction, shooting and editing. At Medielab he mainly develops observational documentaries and educational videos for HVL’s teacher education programmes.
Among his productions at HVL are the documentary "Havportrett" (2023) in collaboration with KINDknow/BARNkunne, "Magiske bilder som kan gå" (2025) in collaboration with BARNkunne, and "Samklang" (2026) in collaboration with Fargespill, as well as work on audiovisual resources for the research project "Singing Maps: developing online music communities to support Sámi adolescent cultural resilience". These are a selection of several productions he has made at Medielab.
"Havportrett" received an award at Tromsø Educational Film Festival, while "Samklang" has been screened at the 45th Nordic International Ethnographic Film Festival and the Nordic Pedagogical Film Festival. In addition to his work at HVL, Ferruccio further develops his practice as a documentary filmmaker through freelance projects; among other things, he is co-director of the feature film "In the Penal Colony", which was recognised for its innovative cinematic language at La Semaine de la Critique at Locarno Film Festival in 2025.
